Beginner balcony garden checklist

Start a manageable balcony garden with light, pots, soil and easy plants.

Cute Roots tip

Match every plant or gardening product to the actual light, space and routine available. Keep product care guidance simple, practical and specific.

Before you begin

Use clean tools, suitable containers and a well-draining growing medium where appropriate. Adjust watering to the plant and season rather than following a rigid calendar.
